  • Comeback Falls Just Short

The MS softball team gave it everything they had on Monday in the semi-finals of the HVAC tournament versus Brentwood Academy. After taking an early lead, the Tigers fell behind 9-2 after three innings. But, this team never quits! In the top of the fourth inning the girls rallied for 6 runs to cut the BA lead to 1. Zoe R., Josie V., and Lulu Rose G provided the offensive pop in that inning. Defensively, the Tigers were ready for the fast infield conditions. Outstanding plays were turned in by Bielle B., Abbey A., Norah C., and Zahra A. Congratulations, Tigers, on a great season!
  • Tigers Finish Regular Season With Victory

The MS Softball team closed out the year with a victory yesterday versus Ensworth, 15-7. The Tigers were led by Abbey A. in the circle, pitching her best game of the year! Defensively, Charlotte K., Josie V., and Zoe R were all outstanding at 3rd base, catcher, and 1st base, respectively. Excellent plate appearances were turned in my Zahra A., Ruth B., and Sadie S. Shout out to Surina B. on her first hit and run scored...EVER! Go, Tigers!
  • Tigers Fall Behind Early, But Claw Their Way Back

The MS Softball team gave up 8 runs in the first inning to Pope Prep in yesterday's game at the RC. However, by the third inning the Tigers had cut the lead to 9-8. Leading the charge was our 8th grade group of Ari W., Lulu Rose G., Zahra A., and Ruchika R. 6th graders Charlotte K. and Ruth B provided outstanding defense in the field. Ultimately, the Tigers fell to the Knights, 14-8. Next up Ensworth at the RC today, game time 4:00.
  • Tigers Begin Conference Play vs Harpeth Hall

The MS Tigers opened HVAC play yesterday at Harpeth Hall, losing a close game to the Honeybears 11-9. The Tigers were again led by Abbey A. in the pitcher's circle. Abbey struck out five in five innings of work. Offensively, every player on the team got an at bat and everyone put the ball in play! Big hits were delivered by Josie V. (HR), Roshni B. Zahra A., and Ari W. On the defensive side, Norah C., Ruchika R., Charlotte K., and Ruth B. displayed great glove skills throughout the game. These Tigers are getting better everyday.
Come give us a look next Wednesday at the RC as we take on Pope Prep, 4:00.
  • Tigers Open Season Strong

The MS Tigers took the field Tuesday at the River Campus to open the 2023 season, hosting Harpeth Hall in a modified scrimmage. The Tigers came from behind to win 6-5 in a thrilling early season clash. The Tigers were led by 7th graders, Abbey Adkins and Josie Vogt. Adkins pitched 5 strong innings and was instrumental on the offensive side, scoring the tying run in the bottom of the 5th. Vogt kept the Tigers close with excellent defense behind the plate and scoring the winning run in the 5th. Timely defensive plays were also turned in by Charlotte Kehler and Ruth Boehler, both playing their first MS games. Ari Walker and Zahra Ansari added offensive pressure both at the plate and on the base paths. The Tigers return to action after Spring Break at HH on March 22nd. Come give us a look!
