Dear PDS/USN friends,
The highlight of my year as Alumni Director is when we welcome you back to campus to reminisce with fellow alumni during Reunion. So many of your classmates listed below have been working hard to plan a fun weekend of parties for your class, and we are grateful for your efforts. Two weeks ago USN announced it would move to remote learning, and this week the city’s leaders issued an order — like those across much of the country — for most businesses to close so that Nashvillians can be safer at home. We want to do our part for your health and safety and must postpone your visit to 2000 Edgehill.
In spite of this disappointment, we have two pieces of good news:
- We’ll host a virtual Reunion to recognize the newest inductees into the Gold Circle, honor their contributions to recording the PDS history through The Past is Prologue, share campus construction and other school happenings, hold a private screening of the 1928 PDS Cinema Club Film Screening "Masque" last shown during our Centennial Celebration in 2015, and have a social hour with you. There is no cost to join us from your living room for any of these three events. Simply click here to register, and we’ll see you online in a few weeks.
- And keep your party plans. We invite you to join us for Reunion 2021 from April 29 to May 1. Imagine the fun of not only gathering with your classes that end in zeros and fives but also enjoying the company of the classes ending in ones and sixes who graduated a year after you.
Please keep communicating with your classmates as you have in recent weeks. Now, more than ever, we need to support each other as PDS/USN friends. As students learn, faculty teach, and staff work in their kitchens, living rooms, and home offices across Middle Tennessee, we know it is because of your support over the years that we are well-equipped to endure this time together.
Stay in touch and take care.
