  • Block's Walk-off Seals the Deal in University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers Victory Over Friendship Christian Varsity Commanders

    University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers defeated Friendship Christian Varsity Commanders 3-2 on Thursday thanks to a walk-off double.  The game was tied at two with University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers batting in the bottom of the seventh when Owen Block doubled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.
     
    The pitching was strong on both sides. University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers pitchers struck out four, while Friendship Christian Varsity Commanders pitchers sat down six.
     
    Friendship Christian Varsity Commanders got on the board in the first inning.  Mason Hallum drew a walk, scoring one run.
     
    Quinn Powers took the win for University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers. The pitcher surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings.
     
    Adam Gordon took the loss for Friendship Christian Varsity Commanders. The bulldog went two-thirds of an inning, allowing two runs on two hits and walking one.

    The University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Goodpasture Christian Varsity Cougars, giving up 11 runs.

    University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers snagged a late lead and defeated Clarksville Academy Varsity Cougars 4-3 on Wednesday.  The game was tied at three with University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers batting in the top of the ninth when Mahoney Daunic grounded out, scoring one run.
     
    University School of Nashville Varsity Tigers notched three runs in the seventh inning.  Owen Block and Townsend Stevenson each drove in runs during the inning.
