Here within these walls, life has a different pace than life beyond our doors. And for what it’s worth this life’s now yours.*

University School of Nashville Middle School Theater is pleased to announce this year’s musical “Sister Act Jr.” We are so proud to let our audiences know USN was invited to participate in this pilot program with Music Theatre International, a New York City-based theatrical licensing agency. USN is among the first audiences to have the opportunity to see this junior version of the Broadway show “Sister Act.”

Based on the 1992 film of the same name starring Whoopi Goldberg, “Sister Act Jr.” follows a similar storyline. Set in the 1970s, our somewhat tarnished heroine Deloris sees a crime committed and finds herself, not a headline singer, but in the witness protection program with a group of nuns. Will Deloris be able to outrun those who are out to get her? Will she be able to find a place for herself with the nuns and Mother Superior? Can we all learn a little bit about each other and make a joyful noise?

From the top of the downbeat to the final curtain call. Bless each day. Bless our show. Bless it all!*

“Sister Act Jr.” is double cast. All shows take place in Ingram Auditorium at Blair School of Music, Vanderbilt University. Shows are appropriate for all ages.
