Tigers Win 1-0 at Home Versus PCa

The Tigers came away with a 1-0 win vs. district opponent Providence Christian Academy. USN controlled the game throughout, keeping PCA under control with good attacking play.

A lightning delay disrupted the game for about an hour at nearly halftime. After the delay the Tigers upped the tempo to trap PCA in their half. The tigers created chances and went at their opponent throughout.

Senior captain Mark Luschen pounded home a header from a fine free kick taken by Freshman Griffin Davidson. Junior Gibson Hurley earned a free kick in the corner. The Tigers ran a corner kick play off of the free kick due to its location. Intentional crowding of the box at the near post kept the goalkeeper home. Griffin put the ball right on Mark’s head head, snapping the ball down hard, off the ground and into the goal. 1-0 Tigers!
