After a tough first quarter, USN plays a closer game with Father Ryan.
The Tigers are continuing to show improvement defensively. We were strong on our slides and Kate Vaughn '24 was lights out in goal! She had 13 saves on the day, while also breaking up several plays before a shot could come. Olivia Hess '24 and Lilly Lapidus '27 were strong in 1v1 defense, making the dodge to goal really hard for the Irish.
The second half we did a great job on the draw controls, particularly Zelle Jones '25 who finished with 6 for the Tigers. Lyla Ross '26 and Tate Barbieri '25 each had 2.
Our scoring came later in the game. Margaret McKay '25 found Annie Cox '24 twice on the crease for two great assisted goals. Tate added our last two goals, one in the last minute of the game.
We're looking to bounce back against Franklin Road Academy on Thursday. GO TIGERS!
