In the second game of the doubleheader, USN would find themselves in a back-and-forth battle that saw a total of nine lead changes or ties throughout the ball game. With the makings of a heavyweight boxing match, with each punch USN landed on the scoreboard, NCS would counterpunch. USN tallied 11 hits in the game and a staggering eight stolen bases to propel themselves to an 11-10 victory. Charles Cook ‘27 would pick up his first varsity win on the mound. In a bases-loaded jam, Cook came in with two outs in the bottom of the 5th inning. Cool as a cucumber, he would strike out the opposing hitter, getting the Tigers out of a precarious situation. USN would go on to score two more runs in the 6th to take the lead, which they would never relinquish. Cook would throw 2.1 innings, striking out 6. USN would improve to 4-0 on the season.
