Franklin, TN- Just six days after hosting the Bobcats at Sperling Gymnasium, the Tigers headed south to run it back against Battle Ground Academy in one of six different competitions between the Tigers and Bobcats. The girls varsity showed they had learned from their last match up the previous Saturday, and executed their game plan brilliantly. They broke the press, locked down on defense, and got the shots they wanted, unfortunately, an untimely cold-streak struck and the Tigers were unable to convert on many of their open looks. Undeterred, USN fought strong to the finish, and finished the game with the pride of knowing they left it all out on the floor. Freshman guard Elisabeth Crane finished with a career high 15 points, and Senior Josie Whelan added 8 points of her own. The Tigers return to competition Monday January, 29th at Grace Christian Academy in Leipers Fork, TN.
