A strong win from the Tigers as they competee against Valor without losing focus or forgetting the details. A great win with great discipline!
The young Tigers had an incredible bounce back win after a tough loss against St. Cecilia earlier in the week. This game showcased a lot of great spacing, aggressive defense, and passing from the first quarter all the way through the fourth quarter. Valor ran a 2-3 zone and the Tigers were able to pick it apart by attacking the soft spots with passes, cuts, and shots. On the other side of the ball the Tigers were aggressive in the passing lanes and were even able to get some steals from Valor’s ball handlers. Despite only having one sub the Tigers played with the same energy, grit, and focus throughout the game in a great team win.
The notable players of the game were Ruth Boehler with 3 assists, 6 steals, 6 rebounds, and 15 points and Zoe Russell with a double double 12 rebounds and 10 points! But it was a team effort with everyone adding positive things to the score sheet – everyone else getting at least 1 basket and 1 rebound and 1 steal! The Tigers will use this game as a springboard as they add new skills and plays, against future competition. Keep it up Tigers!
