On November 13, 2025, an attorney for former University School of Nashville Director Amani Reed filed a federal lawsuit against the school alleging additional baseless claims. This is the latest in a series of legal actions filed against USN by Reed, and all previous claims have either been dismissed by the court or withdrawn by Reed.
As you know, Reed was terminated for cause by USN in January 2025 following the release of the Barnes & Thornburg independent investigative report, which found that he had violated numbers of school policies during the investigation of former teacher Dean Masullo in 2024.
While the school will not comment further on this new litigation, we will continue to defend USN against these false allegations. Thank you for all that you do for our school, our students, and the entire USN community.

Students in First Grade Teacher Kim Rosing’s class have spent the last few weeks writing creative stories and working with High Schoolers on binding their books, culminating in a trip to Parnassus Books to see their work on display.
