The Bounce Back

Tuesday night's home volleyball match was one that you didn't want to miss. The Tigers' match was against district opponent, Nashville Christian School, and it was a match that the Tigers really wanted to win. During the first set, the score remained relatively close despite the Tigers being dominate offensively and having a very strong serve receive. Although the Tigers were playing a great set, the let NCS hang around. Unfortunately, the first set ended with a lost for the Tigers, 25-27. This didn't sit well with the team. How could they let a team hang around instead of finishing a set as the stronger team?! This lost motivated the team and they went on to win the next three sets (30-28, 25-16, 25-19). The Tigers played their best match of the season. Flora '27 recored a career high of 21 kills on the night. She was unstoppable! NCS did not have an answer for her attack. Our libero, Maya '28, kept the team's serve receive and defense performing at a high level and the passing was spot on most of the night. Kendall '28 had her first match as the assist leader and finished the night with 27 assists out of the 33 total assists. The Tigers are off for the remainder of the week for HS retreats and they will find their way back onto the court next week facing two district opponents, Friendship Christian School and Mount Juliet Christian Academy.
