Andrew Walker ‘26 would follow up with another perfect bunt with a similar BA error, and a USN run scored as a result. With a walk to Carson Darr ‘25, Eli Whelan ‘28 would come to the plate and collect his first career RBI. USN would take the 6-4 lead into the bottom of the 3rd inning. BA would answer back in the bottom of the 3rd and plate two more runs to tie the game again, 6-6. With the score still tied in the top of the 5th, the Tigers would plate two runners after 3 walks and a wild pitch. USN would go on to win 8-7 in an electric back-and-forth contest.
