Students dominate at Perennial Math Tournament

Several Middle School students represented USN at the Nashville Perennial Math Competition, and all four teams qualified for the Perennial Math National Championship in May.

On Saturday, April 11, and Sunday, April 12, several Middle School students represented University School of Nashville at the Nashville Perennial Math Competition at Franklin Road Academy. Take a look at the complete results below, and please join us in celebrating all of our incredible mathletes for their outstanding performance! 

Team Competition Results: 
  • All four Middle School teams qualified to compete in the Perennial Math National Championship tournament in May!
  • Our fifth-grade team, including Stanley Whelan ’33, Zaid Umatiya ’33, Aaron Wilson ’33, Ford Hale ’33, and Sajan Dandamudi ’33, took home first place in the team competition.
  • Our sixth-grade team, including Lucas Munoz ’32, Jessica Huo ’32, Keshav Parikh ’32, Samuel Jewett ’32, and Win Nelson ’32, took home second place in the team competition. 
  • Our seventh-grade team, including Ellie Exnicious ’31, Elliott Karpinos ’31, Neel Sinha ’31, Zoey Wei ’31, and Lucas Lupu ’31, took home first place in the team competition.
  • Our eighth-grade team, including Alyvia Thompson ’30, Syra Bangalore ’30, Saveen Bangalore ’30, Lucy Garrison ’30, and Barry Chen ’30, took home second place in the team competition.
Individual Awards: 
  • Stanley Whelan ’33 earned second place in the fifth-grade individual competition.
  • Jessica Huo ’32 earned first place in the sixth-grade individual competition.
  • Zoey Wei ’31 and Lucas Lupu ’31 tied for first place in the seventh-grade individual competition.
  • Elliott Karpinos ’31 earned second place in the seventh-grade individual competition.
  • Syra Bangalore ’30 earned second place in the eighth-grade individual competition.
  • Alyiva Thompson ’30 and Saveen Bangalore ’30 tied for third place in the eighth-grade individual competition.
