By Justin Gung, Assistant Director of Annual Giving
The Tiger Give Back Challenge is a day to celebrate University School of Nashville. We wear school colors and sing "The Alma Mater." The Cheer Squad and Pep Band raise our spirits. We think of teachers and classmates and pause to appreciate the experience of being a Tiger. Finally, we open our hearts and hands to support the school with a charitable gift to the Annual Fund. All members of our community are asked to give: faculty, staff, alumni, parents of former students, parents of current students, and even students themselves.
If you would like to volunteer in our Connect-a-thon, please let us know. All day long, volunteers will connect with alumni, parents, grandparents, and friends to encourage their generosity. More volunteers means more donations, and more donations means a stronger USN.
One reason why USN is among the finest schools in the entire Southeast region is the Annual Fund. Interim Director Juliet Douglas hits the nail on the head when she says that the Annual Fund lifts our school from the category of excellent to the category of exceptional.
So, Tigers, whether by giving or volunteering (or both!), please join us on Wednesday, March 25. Your support is sincerely appreciated.
Congratulations to Anisha Nachnani ’32, who turned heads with her project, “Plastic Beneath the Surface: Quantifying the Impact of Soil Microplastics on Early Plant Development.”
Several Middle School students represented USN at the Nashville Perennial Math Competition, and all four teams qualified for the Perennial Math National Championship in May.
USN students participated in the 73rd Youth In Government conference at the Tennessee State Capitol and neighboring buildings in downtown Nashville. Several students brought home awards, and the entire group did a fantastic job representing USN.
USN Mission: University School of Nashville models the best educational practices. In an environment that represents the cultural and ethnic composition of Metropolitan Nashville, USN fosters each student’s intellectual, artistic, and athletic potential, valuing and inspiring integrity, creative expression, a love of learning, and the pursuit of excellence.
