Hard-fought Loss, Heads High Against Goodpasture Christian School

Lindsay Preston
Small victories key to USN continued improvements. Heads were high after a tough loss.
Our USN Tigers ran out of the locker room pumped for their match-up with Goodpasture on Thursday night. After a tough loss against Grace Christian, they were determined to work hard on defense and look for shots and drives on offense. Their defense is improving daily, but, unfortunately, could not contain the Goodpasture offense. Eva Wuerth had a big 3-pointer in the 4th quarter that rallied our defense, followed by Annie Cox getting a great pass into the post, squaring up, and nailing a jump shot against a much taller opponent. All the small victories may not have been enough for a win on the scoreboard, but the Tigers held their heads high knowing they put in 100% effort!
