Summer reading checkouts begin

Read on for more information about checking out books from the Hassenfeld Library for summer reading.

by Kate Pritchard, Middle & High School librarian

Summer reading lists have been published, and students are starting to think about which books they want to tuck into their beach bags or place on their nightstands. Librarians are visiting as many classes as they can with the summer reading books, so that students can look them over, ask librarians and teachers for suggestions, and decide which ones they want to read. Look on our LibGuides for links to each list in our library catalog.

Students going into grades 5-12 may now check out up to three books from the Hassenfeld Library to bring home over the summer. These books will be due Friday, Aug. 30, giving students enough time to bring them to their English classes at the beginning of the next school year.

Happy reading.
