Lily Mozzi '23 became University School of Nashville's first scholar to commit to bowl collegiately since the school installed a bowling team in 2007. She will continue her career at Tusculum University in Greeneville. Lily is the girls bowling team captain and has dominated leaderboards during her time at USN. During the 2021-2022 season, she set a school record as the first girl to compete at the bowling state championship individually.
"After missing a season due to [the COVID-19 pandemic], Lily came back better than ever," HS Math Teacher & Head Bowling Coach Jason Shuster shared. "That's such a testament to her work ethic and dedication to her teammates."
Auldyn Plant '23 committed to joining University of Louisville's cross country team. Auldyn enrolled at USN in her junior year, and although her time on the team was short, her impact has been tremendous. In addition to countless podium finishes, Auldyn consistently leads the girls on the team both on and off the trails through her demonstrated dedication to the sport and to creating an inclusive team culture. In her final season as a Tiger, Auldyn finished third overall at the state meet.
"I know that the fastest and best times are still ahead for her, and I'm so proud of Auldyn for the way she set this intention and saw it through," PE Teacher & HS Head Girls Cross Country Coach Lindsey Bachman said.
Additionally, Owen Block '23 and Townsend Stevenson '23 have made verbal commitments to join Washington University in St. Louis' baseball team after finishing their high school careers.
