University School of Nashville's Admissions Office looks forward to welcoming prospective families to our Edgehill campus Saturday, Nov. 17. Open House for Middle and High School is at 10 a.m. Open House for Lower School is at 2 p.m.
University School of Nashville's Open House is designed for the entire family, and you won’t want to miss the opening programs beginning in the Auditorium.
USN is located at 2000 Edgehill Ave., and parking lots are accessible from 19th Avenue South and 21st Avenue South. Follow the balloons and signs to the Auditorium.
During Open House for fifth through 12th grades at 10 a.m., prospective students and their parents will hear from Director Vince Durnan, Head of High School Quinton Walker, Head of Middle School Jeff Greenfield, and panels of current students. This short program is preceded by a 30-minute serenade by the High School Jazz Band and will be followed by guided tours.
During Open House for kindergarten through fourth grades at 2 p.m., prospective families will gather in the Auditorium to enjoy a chorus of Lower School students and brief talks by Director Vince Durnan and Head of Lower School Amy Woodson before touring classrooms.
USN also will host a National Association of Independent Schools Vice President for Services Mark J. Mitchell, who will share tips and advice on how to receive financial aid to cover private school tuition during a free workshop 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29. Click here for more information.
Aliza Ahmed '26, Uma Ehrig '26, Victor Peng '26, Ruchika Ramachandran '27, and Yvonne Wang '27 participated in the Asian Educators Alliance conference this year in Atlanta, Georgia.
Anna Brook '30, Claire Yu '30, Clio Cherry-Pulay '29, and Liam Mooney '28 took him the championship during the 4th annual USN Middle School Quiz Bowl Championships. Two teams will travel to Chicago to compete in the National Academic Quiz Tournaments Middle School National Championships on Saturday, May 10.
Cpl. Robert Gibson joined University School of Nashville in November as a School Resource Officer, a certified police officer who is primarily assigned to a school and provides safety and security-related functions, including emergency response, safety training, traffic direction, and patrol functions.
