The tigers are closing the gap on a very talented opponent. During the first half, Woodland kept up the pressure both in the attack and defensively, making it hard for the tigers to score. Mary Sophia Reich and Marin Kirshner came up with some big plays to get us on the board. At the half, the score was 3-7, in Woodland's favor.
During the 2nd half, USN closed the gap. Madeline Baxter came up with six crucial saves to get the tigers closer in score. 11 different players were involved in ground balls throughout the game. Mary Sophia Reich dominated on the field with 3 goals, 4 ground balls, 1 interception, 3 draw controls, and 1 assist. Ella Steinhilber came up with 2 goals, 4 ground balls and 1 interception. Olivia Dossett and Marin Kirshner had one goal each. Leigh Fox and Amara Payne lead the team defensively coming up with a few big stops.
This game will be a learning experience for the future. Final Score: 7-13, loss to Woodland.

The girls lacrosse team ended its season in overtime to become state runner-up. Tennis players Carter Kojetin '29 finished as a state quarterfinalist, Sophie Oliver '26 and Mary Kate Adler '28 finished as state semifinalists, and Veer Kodali '29 and Max Parker '29 finished as state champions. Meanwhile, eight runners competed at the state track and field meet in Knoxville, where Griffin Davidson '27, Caleb Freifeld '28, Drew Zwerner '28, and Jack Fruin '27, sprinted to first in the 4x800m relay and Jack also placed first in the 800m dash.
