Susan Yeagley '89 Skypes with High School

A special treat during assembly on January 9:
Susan Yeagley and her husband, SNL alumnus Kevin Nealon, are well known to USN high schoolers as the founders of the annual Leaky Pen contest—awarded to the senior with the funniest essay on a chosen topic. In a first of what we hope will become a tradition of alumni talks with current students, Susan skyped with the students from her home in California.

Despite a few technical glitches—which Susan used her knowledge of sign language to overcome—students were able to find out about Susan's life in Hollywood and ask questions about acting and show business. She was encouraging about the variety of paths that a person can take to achieve their dreams and how to take life with a grain of salt.
