Season Opener @ Franklin Road Academy

The Tigers traveled to Franklin Road Academy for their season opener match. FRA, a non-district opponent, is a very talented team and starting the season with this level of play left the Tigers no time to ease into game play. Set 1 started close with back and forth scoring, however, FRA moved into high gear and won the first set 25-13. Shaking the opening set off, the Tigers fought back with less nerves and a locked in mentality. FRA ultimately won the match, but sets 2 and 3 much closer in score, 24-26 & 21-25. This match was a good starting point for the Tigers. They will compete against their first district opponent, Donelson Christian Academy, on Thursday, August 20th at 5:45pm at DCA.
