Artclectic is October 23-25

Proceeds from USN's annual art show and sale featuring juried artists support innovative teaching by providing funds for our extraordinary teachers to attend workshops, explore new ways of teaching, and bring back innovative and visionary ideas to share with our students and our community.
Artclectic is a vibrant celebration of art and community at University School of Nashville. This annual fundraiser in Sperling Gym embodies our commitment to originality, creativity, outreach, and support of our dedicated faculty. Throughout multiple days of events, we welcome our diverse community of neighbors, friends, parents, students, and alumni to join in the festivities.

It’s possible to attend Artclectic every single day and have a different experience. Bring your partner, your mom, your book club, your neighbors, your kids, your neighbor's kids … there’s something for everyone. Here are some highlights of what you can expect as you plan your visit.
Thursday, October 23
6-9:30 p.m. Patrons Party (ages 21 and up)
Art will come to life in our underground secret garden, a nod to featured artist Carlos Gamez de Francisco's lush, floral-infused works. Inspired by the butterflies that flutter through his art, USN After School students are creating a hanging installation made from recycled grocery bags donated by USN families.

While sipping on a Cuban Daiquiri, guests will enjoy fabulous food offerings from USN alumni Benjamin and Max Goldberg’s Strategic Hospitality, James Beard Foundation nominees for Outstanding Restaurateur multiple times, and the masterminds behind Locust, Catbird Seat, and Kisser (among others). They’ll be serving up a slice of Cuba, an homage to Carlos's Cuban heritage. Think croquettes, empanadas, Cuban sliders, and more Latin-inspired bites.

So, put on your best cocktail/garden glam (hello, floral prints and butterflies!) attire and join us for this fabulous night. With amazing food, creative decor, and cool libations, you’ll have all you need to visit, feast, sip and shop!

Friday, October 24

Stroll the gallery before heading off to dinner or stay the whole night and enjoy drinks along with light bites from Hattie B’s while interacting with artists and friends. Playing off of featured artist Carlos Gamez de Francisco's whimsical paintings of women with miles of sunglasses stacked on their heads, guests will find a selfie station where you can try on a variety of sunglasses and put yourself inside the art. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy all that Artclectic has to offer at this festive party.

Saturday, October 25

11 a.m.-3 p.m. Discovery Day
While the adults shop, kids will have a bedazzling ball. This lively art atmosphere includes hands-on activities for everyone. Our distinctive Discovery Day artist, Camilla Spadafino, will be on site with exclusive fine yART pieces created just for USN. She will be debuting custom art featuring Peabody the Tiger and paint-by-number kits designed especially for the USN community. Join us in decorating a pair of fun sunglasses before you take a closer look at the gallery. A coffee cart and food vendors will be on site to keep you nourished during this full day of shopping and creating.

Artclectic Presenting Sponsor
Jacob Unger, M.D. of the Nashville Plastic Surgery Institute, is excited to be the presenting sponsor for Artclectic.

"We are so excited to support this incredible institution in this way. The main benefactors of this event, USN’s teachers, are a huge part of what makes this place so magical. I am honored to sponsor this amazing program in support of our teachers."

Located in Hillsboro Village, not far from USN, NPSI is a world-renowned plastic surgery practice with its own private operating room. They also have a med spa offering a full array of non-surgical treatments such as injectables, lasers, and non-invasive skin tightening.
