At 4 p.m. Thursday, August 29, University School of Nashville's Arts Department will welcome its first artist of the year into the Tibbott Gallery. Michael Mucker is a Nashville legend. Mucker has been working for decades in the community as a painter, muralist, tattoo artist, community organizer, and youth volunteer. A pioneer of the North Nashville art scene, Mucker is exhibiting his "The Unrefined Collection" in the Tibbott Gallery. He has been building this body of work for over a decade, so it is an honor to be the first to exhibit these works as a collection. Inspired by his youth mentorship roles, his works feature many art forms, including children's reading books. The exhibit will be on display through Friday, September 27.
USN Art Teacher Emily Holt and her latest gallery, "Lossless Found" were recently featured in The Nashville Scene. Holt's gallery is on view through Saturday, March 29 at Julia Martin Gallery.
