TAPstravaganza 2024 provides an evening to remember
Tiger Arts Patrons welcomed over 200 guests, performers, and faculty to celebrate USN's visual and performing arts.

TAPstravaganza 2024 was a black-tie affair.
TAPstravaganza was an evening to remember. Thank you to all the faculty, students, administration, staff, parents, and volunteers who made TAPstravaganza possible. We at TAP (that’s Tiger Arts Patrons, the USN equivalent of a booster club for visual and performing arts) are so happy to have been a part of this year’s TAPstravaganza celebration. The arts impact so many of us throughout our school community, and we are proud to celebrate them.

- Incredible student visual art pieces? Check.
- Outstanding student performance pieces from our youngest Lower School performers to our graduating seniors? Check.
- TAP Co-Chair Ritu Joseph who keeps everything together and without whom nothing would be possible? Check.
- Amazing food provided by our Cafeterial Manager Kelly Mozzi and SAGE Dining Services? Check.
- Real-time painting demonstrated by Art Teachers Trent Boysen, Christopher Cheney, and Andy King? Check.
- Faculty number to start the celebration with Middle School Theater Director Bakari King, Bethany DiSantis, Band Director Kyle Barboza, John Westberry, Band Teacher Miranda Vargo? Check.
- Technical prowess demonstrated by Technical Theater Director Jim Manning, Chis Haynes ’24, and Ash Weinman ’26? Check.
- Fantastic supportive audience turnout? Check.

Read MoreWinged Deer Park and trails in Johnson City hosted our 4th race on Sunday October 11th, and despite a bit of hurricane outwash winds and showers - and reduced team numbers due to fall break and distance from Nashville - our racers utilized all available skills and speed which helped “wing" Sophomore Claire Dehner to a 4th place podium spot, our first podium appearance and medal for the season. -
HS athletics recaps for September 11-17
Tiger golfers have officially qualified for the region tournament, and our other teams are not far behind. Volleyball sits near the top of the district, finishing up regular season play next week with Senior Night. Girls soccer continues to hold first place in the district after another 9-0 win, and our cross country runners are chasing after some school records. To round it all out, our mountain bike team traveled to Oakfield to continue to improve on their times for the season. There’s plenty more where that came from- so be sure to come out to the River Campus, Sperling Gym, or out on the road to cheer on our Tigers before their seasons end.Read More
