23 USN students earn 2024 Scholastic Regional Art Awards

Of special note are Illiana Béhague-Mentzel ’25, Lucy Gibbs ’28, Cléo Gauthier ’24, Lin Zheng ’26, and Suzie Zhao '28, who received Gold Key Awards. Their work will be displayed at Cheekwood Estate and Gardens and considered for awards at the national competition later this spring.

The Middle Tennessee Scholastic Art Awards exhibition is held each year to honor teenage creators for their work in the Arts. This year, 23 University School of Nashville students received recognition: 11 Honorable Mention awards, 6 Silver Key Awards, and 6 Gold Key Awards. There were over 1,400 total entries from across the mid-South, with only about 5% being selected for exhibition. USN talented students are clearly in a class of their own. 

An awards ceremony was hosted in the Cheekwood Frist Learning Center on Saturday, February 3. Their works will remain viewable on-site through Sunday, March 10. Gold Key works are displayed physically, and Silver Key works are displayed digitally.
