Win for the Tigers for their Home Opener

The USN Tigers illustrated skill and teamwork, securing a resounding 5-0 victory for the season opener. While the stadium may have lacked the usual fervor, the game itself was anything but lacking in excitement, as new faces on the field seized the opportunity to shine.
The Tigers quickly demonstrated their intent to dominate the game with a goal by Lainey ‘27. A sense of confidence continued for the Tigers with a cross from Zelle ‘25 over to Liv ‘25 who scored to make it 2-0. Rotations of players began and the back line continued to prevent any counterattacks from the opposing SCA Scarabs.
Tigers earned a corner kick in the 43’ minute taken by Liv ‘25 which led to Margaret ‘25 heading it into the goal to make it 3-0. The team chemistry continued strong as Elisabeth ‘27 scored making it 4-0 with an assist from Zelle ‘25. Despite energy running low as the clock wound down, Tigers capitalized on a loose ball in the box scored by Caroline ‘26 to make it 5-0.
Whole team effort to start the season off! Kudos to keeper Tess ‘25 for her first season shutout.
