Tiger Boys Soccer Draw With Hillsboro High School - 2-2

USN Boys Soccer played an eventful and spirited game with Hillsboro High School on Thursday. The game finished 2-2 with the Tigers showing resolve and composure to create two really well played goals. In the first half Elijah Miller tackled strongly to create a loose ball. Eli Galentino was quick to the loose ball to one touch it around a defender then cheekily played a pass with the outside of his right foot into the path of Noah Kim. Noah accelerated to goal, putting his body between the defender and the Hillsboro goal. In a last ditch effort to stop Noah from scoring the defender slides and fouls Noah, creating a penalty kick. Elijah McKnight expertly sidefoots the ball just inside the left post to score the penalty.

In the second half USN solved the Hillsboro offside trap, but conceded a goal against the run of play. The Tigers couldn’t quite get the ball cleared and Hillsboro finished from close in a mele.  Immediately, USN got on the ball and created more pressure on the opponents goal, eventually leading to the equalizer. Evan Ozgener swung the ball from left to right to Dhruv Patel who played a longer ball to Noah Kim racing into the box. Noah held off a defender to slot the ball low, past the keeper to the far post.

USN Boys Soccer Remain undefeated heading into the third week of the regular season.
