With over 150 one-night, in-person classes, adults can find something that piques their interests no matter what in this year's catalog of USN Evening Classes. Below are a few newly added courses spanning a wide range of topics.

Pasta is the one food we might all agree that we'd rather not live without. Whether you are serving a quick weeknight meal for your family or hosting a leisurely weekend dinner for your friends, Charles Hunter III, chef and owner of The Salted Table, will teach you all you need to know to create a delicious Italian feast in Pasta 101. Learn to make three types of pasta: fettuccine, gnocchi, and herb tagliatelle topped with a pesto, white wine or red sauce. We'll also grill beef and chicken and make an arugula and citrus salad with a sherry vinaigrette. Hunter will talk about the difference between noodles and pasta, flour types, and how to store it.

Looking to get a hands-on creative experience? Try Introduction to Needlepoint, where you will learn the skills to create your own colorful and fetching keychain.

Or, enroll in Design and Create a Beautiful Glass Bead Bracelet where you'll use Japanese Toho and Miyuki Bugle beads to create your works of art in this course taught by neuroscientist and Vanderbilt educator Christine Konradi. These bracelets have a lovely, intricate, twisted design, and once you learn the pattern and technique, can be created with endless variations in color and beading.

If you want to add some cardio to your arts, try contra dancing. Much like square dancing, Contra Dancing will teach you to promenade, swing, star, and allemande left and right with a caller directing the dancers with fiddle and guitar music. No partner needed, this lively dance originated in New England with its roots in French, Scottish, and English dancing and has been a Nashville favorite for years.

Let them eat king cake — Mardis Gras is just around the corner and Village Bakery + Provisions owner Sam Tucker will teach you how to make a festive king cake for your own celebration.

Transform your date night into a daytime rendezvous where it's all planned out for you by joining Walk Eat Nashville. Two dates offered.
