Nashville, TN- It was a tough game for the Tigers this Friday. Rather than recap the game, here is the email Coach Olson sent his parents and players after the game.
USN Basketball family,
Our game tonight ended just moments ago, and I need to let you know what I told our players tonight.
The coach from CPA has been doing this for 20 years. Those girls run a sophisticated offense, and know each other well because they've been playing together, and intentionally, since they were in 4th grade. I have a 4th grader. I have a kindergartener. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. In years to come when our program is on the other side of games like tonight it will because this program was built on the STRONGEST FOUNDATION POSSIBLE. YOUR KIDS!!!!
This is THE TOUGHEST group of players I have ever had the pleasure to be around. Pro, college, high school, or any level. This team is the toughest. This team is the most resilient. And any success this program has in the future will be directly connected to the tenacity that Stella, Kate, Uma, Margaret, Tessa, Maddy, Liv, Yvonne, Nevaeh, Divya, Anna, Victor, Addi, Grayson, and Annalise have displayed, and will continue to display, all year.
I'm so proud to coach them. I love this team.
-Coach Olson
The Tigers are back at home tomorrow to face off against St. Cecilia Academy on 12/17.
Peabody Demonstration School's first African-American graduate passed away September 3, 2025. Cassandra Teague Walker '67 returned to her alma mater many times to share her experiences with young students and is featured on the 21st Avenue garage mural.
The National Merit Scholarship Program honors seniors whose PSAT scores show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies. Congratulations to seniors Darcy Dove, Finch Fleming, Evan Giles, Ismaeel Moskinzada, and Lin Zheng for this honor.
Thank you to the many families, faculty, and staff who have donated their pre-loved books, games, and puzzles for resale. USNA continues to accept donations. Fall Book Frenzy takes place Thursday, September 25 through Saturday, September 27 in Cheek Gym. This annual used book sale benefits the Hassenfeld Library.
