MS, HS athletes can train most of summer
The fitness center will operate summer hours Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, Aug. 2 and be open 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays. Student-athletes are welcome to work out at school, except during TSSAA Dead Period, Sunday, June 23 through Saturday, July 6.

This summer, the USN Strength & Conditioning program will be held weekdays Thursday, May 30 through Friday, Aug. 2, in the Fitness Center. Two training session will be held daily at from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and from 3 to 5 p.m. All USN athletes in grades 7-12 may attend either morning or afternoon session. The focus will be on helping attendees enhance their athletic performance through resistance training, explosive lifting, speed drills, conditioning, plyometrics, agility, and flexibility.

All student-athletes in grades 7-12 are encouraged to attend. Students participating must register for or update their information on Teambuildr. Please contact Coach Jennifer McFall or fitness center staff for more information.

The Tennessee Secondary School Athletic Association Dead Period is Sunday, June 23 through Saturday, July 6. During this time, coaching, contact between coaches and players, practice, and weight training/conditioning are not permitted. USN facilities will be closed to student-athletes.
