Music Night was magnificent
Our annual exclusive concert was a successful show and will benefit arts at USN.

Saturday, Feb. 16 was definitely a night to remember. Joe Getsi and the K-12 Situation kicked off Music Night with a rockin’ review of rock and soul favorites. The Invisible Hand, featuring Darius Rucker, USN parent Steve Gorman, and Peter Holsapple, wowed the crowd with an eclectic set of familiar favorites and fabulous newer material.
The house band included Band Teachers Joe Getsi (saxes) and Kyle Barboza (vocals/bass), Graphic Designer and MS Band Teacher Jeff Goold (drums/percussion), HS Dean of Student Life Justin Karpinos (guitar), MS Theater Director Bakari King (trombone), Director of Diversity and Community Life Roderick White (saxes), Horizons Executive Director Sam Jackson (trumpet), and Vocal Teachers DaJuana Hammonds (vocals) and Piper Jones '08 (vocals) as well as USN friends Chad Hammonds (keyboards) and Joe Gross (trumpet). There were special surprise cameos on stage by Seventh Grade Math Teacher Joel Bezaire (bass) and Head of HS Quinton Walker (saxophone).

Music Night guests enjoyed a sampling of bourbon from Nelson’s Green Brier Distillery and delectable food from M M Event Services. Spring sports season ends with podium finishes, trophies
The girls lacrosse team ended its season in overtime to become state runner-up. Tennis players Carter Kojetin '29 finished as a state quarterfinalist, Sophie Oliver '26 and Mary Kate Adler '28 finished as state semifinalists, and Veer Kodali '29 and Max Parker '29 finished as state champions. Meanwhile, eight runners competed at the state track and field meet in Knoxville, where Griffin Davidson '27, Caleb Freifeld '28, Drew Zwerner '28, and Jack Fruin '27, sprinted to first in the 4x800m relay and Jack also placed first in the 800m dash.Read More -
