5th and 6th graders compete in Quiz Bowl tournament
USN's Middle School Quiz Bowl Team hosted the third annual Welcome to Quiz Bowl tournament at the school, as students continue a strong start to the season.

On Saturday, November 9, the Middle School Quiz Bowl Team hosted the third annual Welcome to Quiz Bowl Tournament at University School of Nashville. The fifth and sixth Grade Quiz Bowlers raced to answer questions about Teddy Roosevelt, Neptune, and even Billie Eilish.
Elliott Karpinos ’30, James Keiper ’30, Lily Miller ’30, and Neel Sinha ’30 each led a successful team. They were joined by Ameera Amro ’31, Elliott Carlo ’31, Mila Kennedy ’31, Carter Maclin ’31, Anisha Nachnani ’31, Emily Nicholson ’31, Indy O’Hare ’31, Julian Schuetz Sevin ’31, Ally Townsend ’31, Miriam Westberry ’31 and Eliana Wolf ’31.
Although it was their first tournament, fifth graders made many fast buzzes and contributed substantially to the bonuses. The future of the Middle School Quiz Bowl Team looks strong.
Just back from their championship win at Gallatin, Clio Cherry-Pulay ’29, Elliot Geroge ’29, Asher Huffman ’29, Harper Hughey ’29, and Vihaan Sinha ’29 served as readers and scorekeepers.
