Fifth Grade Girl Scout Troop 40 is holding a drive to collect items for the Nashville Humane Society as part of their community Take Action Project. NHS helps the community learn about the feral cat population; these cats can kill significant numbers of birds each year, causing environmental harm and imbalance. By spaying and neutering these animals, NHS prevents them from having multiple litters.

Now through Monday, May 10, we encourage you to drop off one of the donation items listed below; collection boxes are located at both the 19th Avenue Lobby and 21st Avenue Garage entrances. For more information on our Take Action Project, please watch the video we created

Items requested include: new or used towels and blankets, plastic cat toys, bleach, and dry cat and dog food. Additional wish list items are listed on the front of the donation boxes. Additionally, you can pick up a pamphlet near the collection boxes or visit the NHS website to learn more about how to help feral cats.

Thank you for helping Troop 40 help our community and the environment.
