High School adds new math faculty

Stop by room 4285 to welcome teacher Anna Dailey, who is teaching Algebra II, Geometry and Math Labs 1 & II.
by Quinton P. Walker, head of High School

After an intensive search, University School of Nashville has hired Anna Dailey as a mathematics faculty member.

Dailey comes to USN, in a roundabout way, from Martin Luther King Jr. Academic Magnet in Nashville. A graduate of Auburn, Dailey moved to Nashville to earn her master's degree in secondary education with a focus in mathematics from Vanderbilt. This program also brought us HS Math Teacher Allie Van Konynenburg and Eighth Grade Algebra I Teacher Harrison Nam, among others, to USN.

Through some interesting turns of events, Dailey jumped into her role at MLK and thrived. Most recently, she's worked in the District of Columbia Public Schools system on teacher recruitment and selection.

An avid knitter, Dailey is even doing some freelance sample knitting for a German knitting company. This work is stunning and quite mathematically-oriented. She's proud dog mom, too, to Bingley. Yes, the name is a tribute, English friends.

Dailey teaching Algebra II, Geometry and Math Labs 1 & II and sharing a fourth-floor room with Van Konynenburg.
