Library provides list of books about racism, resistance
Read on for a list of books for all ages that can help us begin (or continue) hard conversations, educate ourselves and others, and inspire us to keep up the work of antiracism.

As the Black Lives Matter protests continue in cities around the country and around the world, many students and parents are looking for ways to better understand and participate in this moment. Reading is one useful way to approach and learn more about these issues. The books on this list offer multiple perspectives on race, racism, antiracism, white privilege, white supremacy, and the Black Lives Matter movement.
The list is broken down into several age ranges and covers grades K-12 as well as adult titles. Most books are already in the Hassenfeld Library collection, with more to be added soon. The library is now offering curbside pickup for books; read this article to learn how you can place a hold on a book and pick it up at school.
