Our debaters had some great rounds last weekend at the National Season Opener at the University of Kentucky.
Nicholas Clancy '20 and Mayowa Kassim '21 just missed the elimination bracket after wins over Mamaroneck High School of New York, Wylie E. Groves High School of Michigan, and Cambridge High School of Georgia. Their losses came to Chattahoochee High School of Georgia, a team from defending national champion North Broward Prep of Florida, and a strong team from Taipei, Taiwan.
Christopher Cheek '21 and Luke Kim '23 also finished 3-3, while Morayo Kassim '21 and Laura Harris '22, and Wiley Barzelay '21 and Lucas Heckers '21 both finished with 2-4 records.
Congratulations to Lin Zheng ’26 for her recent accomplishment. The Regeneron Science Talent Search is the nation’s oldest and most prestigious science and math competition for high school seniors. This honor places Lin among the top 300 STEM students in the United States.
