  • Fell to the Lions

    The USN JV team traveled to Grace Christian Academy to face the Lions for a second time this season. The Tigers played some fantastic rallies in the first set with strong energy but they couldn't secure a win (17-25). They started strong in the second set but faltered when they were faced with some difficult serves. USN dropped the second set at 13-25. They will compete again on Monday at FRA. 
  • The Tigers Face the Panthers Again

    The USN JV team traveled to FRA to face them for a second time this season. They took the lead in the beginning of the first set but lost momentum causing FRA to win 18-25. The Tigers got into a hole in the second set but Eva Baler helped dig them out with a 7 point serving run. They fought until the last point but ended up dropping set number two, 22-25.
     
  • Webb Feet come to Nashville

    The USN JV team played an exciting home match against Webb Bell Buckle. Both teams played well in the first set but the Tigers lost 18-25. USN started off strong in the second set and won 13-25. All together, Eva Baler, Kareena Kloek, Clara Smail, and Elle Phillips scored 8 aces. The third set start slow for the Tigers and they dug a hole too big to catch up. The Tigers lost the 3rd set 11-15.
  • Home match vs. PCA Lions

    The USN JV team played a great volleyball game vs. Providence Christian Academy on Tuesday evening. Both teams played hard and fought for the lead in the first set. The scoreboard battle between the Tigers and Lions was fun to watch even though it was the Lions who took the first set win, 21-25. The second set played out similarly, with USN battling for a win but ultimately losing, 20-25. Overall, there was amazing energy and solid effort from all of the Tigers. Shout out to Kareena Kloek for incredible hustle, accurate sets, and strong leadership.
  • A GREAT show by the Tigers

    The Tigers traveled to BGA for their fourth district match of the week. They brought their volleyball skills with them and they were ready to play. BGA is known for a strong volleyball program, but that didn't scare the Tigers. The Tigers were in control to start. Leading the scoreboard entire set until the game was tied 19-19. The Tigers showed a solid defense and offense throughout the first set. They also gave BGA a handful of aggressive serves. Although the skills were there, it was BGA who took a win for the first set (20-25). The Tigers started slow in the second set and BGA took advantage. BGA went up early and even with a fight, the Tigers struggled to catch up to them. The final of the second set was 14-25. These Tigers showed grit and worked really hard despite dropping the match. 
  • The Tigers travel to MTCS

    The Tigers had a tough loss against the MTCS Cougars on Thursday. This was the Tiger's 5th district match of the season. Slow to start, the Tigers lost the first set 14-25. There was a lack of commination and a struggle to serve receive which keep the Tigers down during the first set. At the start of the second set, the Tigers gained some traction after strong serving run from Alena Ellis. Despite the big jump in energy and effort, USN was defeated by the Cougars in the second set, 14-25. 
  • Scoreboard Battle

    The USN JV team played their 3rd district match against Grace Christian Academy. The Tigers could not break a strong serve and lost the first set 3-25. With that being said, they did not let that tough first set get them down and they fought hard in the second set. Both teams struggled to keep a lead and there was a scoreboard battle until the end. Ultimately GCA took the second set with an ending score of 23-25. All around, there was a lot of great volleyball. There were many long rallies that included solid defense, accurate setting, and incredible hustle plays! The Tigers will face Columbia Academy tomorrow at home. 
  • The Tigers get their first district WIN!

    The USN JV team added a win to their record! They won their first district match against Columbia Academy on Tuesday night. The Tigers started off with positive energy and worked hard to take the first set 23-25. There was long serving streaks and great hustle plays to keep the rallies alive. The Tigers enter the second set with lots of energy and an eagerness to get another win! The second set went even better than the first set! The Tigers showed great communication on the court, many perfect passes, and aggressive plays which led them to their 25-16 victory over Columbia Academy. The Tigers will compete again at MTCS on Thursday.
