  • game recap

we took to the ice last night against a seasoned opponent, and our team battled very well through 2 periods, only to fall to fatigue and a few errors to an 8-3 loss. our opponents were in the state final last year! as Charlie Ford remarked, "we have the X factor" and yes, Jordin Palmeri stood tall in nets once again to keep us in the game through 2 1/2 periods. Jesse Small continued on making opportunity count as he netted two goals, and Caleb Rice scored his first goal of the year. from the first puck drop everyone skated hard and played with resilience. all together it was a great team effort!

clearly an outmatched opponent, Ravenwood kept us on our heels and managed 52 shots on goal. Fortunately for our netminder Zachary Figus stood tall and kept our opponents at bay for 1 1/2 periods. Our team fell to fatigue after half the game and took an 8-0 loss the hard way!
  • game recap vs Outlaws

finally a 5-1 win vs the Outlaws last night at the Plex, buoyed our team confidence as we head into Pool Play in the New Year. Once again our goalie Zachary Figus played an outstanding game fending off 26 shots on goal, and an occasional breakaway! Danylo Lazarenko started off our scoring netting the first goal of the game. Benton Laird, Jesse Small, Townes Haley and Isaac Ricealso found the back of the net to add to our team tally. It is also worth noting that everyone played well including, Abi Wagner, Gavn Gordon and Sydney Russell.

Game #5 vs BHS - well we were served some humble pie vs perennial state power BHS losing 7-1. One highlight of the evening came in the 3rd period when Danylo Lazarenko stole the puck for a breakaway and Will Bailey finished with our lone goal off a rebound. Missing two key players we spent the gameplaying on our heels and letting our opponents dictate the game!  We hope there was a lesson learned.

Game #6 vs FHS/HFA/BGA - a more even matchup, Team #15 came to play but it took two periods to wake up and skate with any intensity, thus taking a 7-3 loss. Jordin Palmeri continued to demonstrate steady play between the pipes, trying to keep our team in each gameDanylo Lazarenko (1) and Isaac Rice (2) provided some 3rd period highlights netting 3 goals.
  • game recap vs Blackman/S Creek

    Zaf
We celebrated a successful 4-2 win last night at Ford Ice with a well earned team win. Everyone skated with passion and intensity, but not without a few hiccups. Missing three key players, a starter who forgot his equipment (heh heh), a defenseman who forgot his shoulder pads, and a forward playing with mismatched socks, our locker room was full of hysterics!

Our team got off to a good start and never looked back. Once again, stellar goaltending by Jordin Palmeri keep our opponents at bay, and effective forechecking created some offensive opportunities as Edward Crane netted the first goal. Senior team leader Jesse Small scored a natural hat trick by taking advantage of our opponents mistakes and netting three! But our work was cut out by having to fend off TWO 5v3 power plays and a late game flurry of 6v5 from our opponents.
  • game recap vs JPII

    Zaf
We took a tough loss 3-1 last night at Ford Ice Bellvue.

Exceptional goaltending was again in the order of the day by Jordin Palmeri, keeping it a tight contest. Townes Haley posted a lone goal from an end to end rush capping it off with a sweet shot.

By and large we had a hard time making connections and taking advantage of opportunities. We are halfway through the regular season as we try to gain some playing experience and build team chemistry.
