  • MS Baseball Wraps up Season

    Coach Bezaire
The MS Baseball team lost in the semi-finals last night 7-1 to MTCS.  A team they had already beaten twice this season, the Tigers found out that the old adage was true:  One of the hardest things to do in sports is beat another team three times in a single season.  The Cougars played a near flawless game, and they deserved the win.

This wraps up the most successful MS Baseball season for the Tigers...best winning percentage, tied for most wins, best conference winning percentage, etc.  The boys should be proud of themselves; if you see any MS Baseball players, please pat them on the back.

Chanse Jones and James Douglas will be named to the All-Conference team officially today.  Congrats to those two!

  • Whitten Named Tiger of the Week

    Coach Bezaire
6th grader Bailey Whitten has been named the Tiger of the Week for the Middle School Baseball team.  Whitten has been one of the Tigers' most consistent performers this season, boasting a .364 batting average and a .548 on-base percentage.  Bailey joins Eli Motycka, Chanse Jones, Evan Beiter, and James Douglas as Tigers of the Week for this season.
  • MS Baseball Tigers squeak by Hendersonville

    Coach Bezaire
The MS Baseball team built up a big lead on Monday afternoon at the River Campus, only to see Hendersonville Christian roar back and tie the game.  The Tigers scored one in their final at-bat to win 13-12.

Chanse Jones was the offensive catalyst again for the Tigers, homering twice, mixing in a triple, and driving in 5.  Josh Yazdian tripled in the winning run in the bottom of the last inning, and Jacob Seloff added two singles and an RBI.  Seloff pitched 3 solid innings, and Bob Minton picked up the win after 2 innings of his own.
  • Tigers drop tough loss to Saints

    Coach Bezaire
After a long week of baseball, the MS Tigers had little left in the tank on Friday afternoon, dropping a tough game to Mt. Juliet Christian 9-8.  Pitchers Jacob Seloff and Bob Minton received very little help, as the defense struggled all game long at almost every position.  Chanse Jones did his best to ignite the Tigers on the offensive end, but it wasn't quite enough as the Tigers dropped just their second conference game this season.

The loss drops the Tigers back into a first place tie with NCS, as they now hold identical 8-2 conference records.
  • Douglas/Beiter named Co-Tigers of the Week

    Coach Bezaire
James Douglas and Evan Beiter have been named Co-Tigers of the Week for the MS Baseball team.  Douglas leads the team in hits and has been solid at both middle infield positions.   Beiter is second on the team in RBI with 15, is tied with Douglas for the team lead in hits, and has been strong in left and center field.  Together, these two guys have set the table for the rest of the team at the top of the batting order.
  • MS Baseball earns split with NCS

    Coach Bezaire
The MS Baseball team entered the day tied with Nashville Christian at the top of the conference standings...and the day ended the same way, as the Tigers and the Eagles split a double-header in Bellevue.

In the second game, USN bounced back and trounced the Eagles 10-2.  Evan Beiter had 5 RBI and a brilliant defensive play in center field.  Baliey Whitten had two hits, three runs, and an RBI.  Chanse Jones picked up the win on the mound in game two.
