• Tigers Lose 7-1 to Nashville Catholic Baseball Club

  Despite another strong pitching performance by Oliver Stahl, poor defense sabatoged the good pitching and Tigers lost to the Nashville Catholic Baseball Club. This was the last game of the Tigers season. USN was able to get on base through walks and a few hits but great catching defense shut down the running game and rallys were thwarted. Gil Jones and and Eli’s Masic had another good day at the plate. 

• Tigers Loss to Pope John Paul II 6-1

  It was a tough defensive day for the Tigers against a solid Pope John Paul II team and USN lost 6-1. A bright spot in the day was Ram Chitale who pitched in relief and got three outs with only 8 pitches. Oliver Stahl also pitched well. 

• Tigers Outduel Ensworth 2-1

  The Tigers beat Ensworth last Friday at the River Campus in a come from behind pitching classic. Ensworth jumped out to a 1-0 lead and the game stayed that way until the Tigers put together a walk and multiple hits and took the lead 2-1 in their last at bat in the bottom of the fifth (time limitation). Ensworth threatened to tie the game in their last at bat in the top of the sixth with a man on third with two outs but Oliver Stahl threw a strike out for the last out of the game. Both teams had terrific pitching and defense. For the Tigers, Oliver Stahl had a stellar performance with seven strikeouts in long relief and was backed by all around good defense anchored by Gil Jones. Eli Shuster also had another solid, workmanlike effort behind the plate.
