Dee Davis, HS Community Service Club host backpack drive

by Dee Davis, High School girls' basketball coach

Consider donating school supplies between Monday, April 16 and Friday, April 27. They will be given to students in need during a community celebration in July.
High School Girls' Basketball Coach Dee Davis is hosting her Fourth Annual Back to School Community Day in Antioch on Sunday, July 29. Hoping to provide as many supplies and backpacks as possible for kids in the Nashville community, she has partnered with USN and many other organizations. We will begin a drive here at school from Monday, April 16 through Friday, April 27, and we would love it if you all would participate with us. We will be collecting monetary donations as well as school supplies. Any and all contributions help, and we will greatly appreciate all that you may do. The book bags will be packed with age-appropriate school supplies.

Last year Dee Davis and her supporters gave away more than 1,200 backpacks during her Back to School Community Day. This year she hopes to exceed 1,500 bags. Click here to watch a 2017 NewsChannel5 broadcast on the drive.
