Doing the Right Things in the Right Moments

The Tigers were tasked with doing the little things even when things got tough and they delivered
The Tiger had the opportunity to play Pearl-Cohn at Hadley Park on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. Despite playing back-to-back days and some players being out, the Tiger’s were ready to compete and do their best!


Despite the Tiger’s needing to adjust to an all dirt infield, defensively they were on point. The Tigers only earned 2 errors collectively, and knocked everything else down or at least kept the ball in front. This led the two of the three innings to be shut outs! Ellie Rothman ‘25 had herself a game, only having to throw 61 pitches, two of which were successful screwballs, and earning 4 strikeouts! Caroline Keiper ‘25 was a wall behind the plate and even made an awesome play where she tracked a shallow pop up ball and made the catch! From there she was moved to first base and she helped collect a few outs and Eleanor Molvig ‘25 took over as catcher, for the first time in game. Eleanor Molvig proceeded to do a great job keeping things in front and making great throws, even working on awesome framing plays! To top off a great defensive showing, Asauda Radford ‘25, for the third time this season, made a diving play from shortstop, blocking the gap up middle, and made the flip to second base for an out, an incredible play! 
Offensively the team did a great job being aggressive at the plate without losing their discipline. They earned 12 hits, 12 RBIs, and scored the most runs in a game this season! Corn Zaimah ‘26 earned her first ever hit this season and Jessica Penilton ‘24 also earned the team’s first and only HOME RUN of the season! It was a solid offensive game from everyone.

The Tigers are rounding out their season with their big Community Day event on Friday (4/26) and hope to finish on a high note with a rematch against Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School Monday (4/29) at Watkins Park at 4:30pm. Let's go Tigers, good luck!
