Tigers Fall In Hard Fought Game

The USN Tigers fall at district opponent BGA 2-0. USN never really hit their full rhythm, yet worked hard to put a good amount of pressure on the BGA box. Using the ball to force BGA to defend deep, the Tigers were only able to break down the BGA defense for a few chances. Unfortunately, BGA scored with seconds left in the half off of a broken play. USN was down 1-0 at the half despite having the better of the play. 

In the second half the Tigers started brightly pushing forward quickly to flash a couple of balls through the box. USN were aggressive to goal throughout the period. BGA used long throws and long free kicks as their main offensive threat. USN handled them well until a long throw from the right bounced around the box and was knocked home by a BGA player. USN proceeded to lay siege to the BGA goal. With chances and pressure, and numbers thrown forward. With corner kicks, and aggressive runs at the opponent, the Tigers couldn’t quite finish off some chances. 

The Tigers, despite great effort and attacking endeavor were unable to beat the BGA goal keeper. 

USN sit at 4-2 in the district and play Grace Christian Academy on Monday to decide if the Tigers will be 3rd or 4th in the district.
