Tigers win home opener over Webb Bell Buckle

Eight different players contribute to the scoring tally.
The team was excited for the first home game of the season and came out ready to play.  Webb Bell Buckle played solid defense in the first quarter, shutting down our drives, and clogging the 8m arc.  We only found the back of net once in the first quarter, but maintained the lead 1-0 going into the first break.

The second quarter was all USN.  Lyla Ross '26 was dominate on the draw and gave us several fast break opportunities.  Aria Little '27 found herself open in the middle of the 8m off the draw twice in the second quarter, slamming it home to extend our lead.  Margaret McKay '25, Annie Cox '24, and Lyla all got goals in the second quarter as well.  Kate Vaughn '24 finished her time in goal of the day with a shut out, including a save on an 8m shot.

In the second half, we made line-up adjustments and let Kate Vaughn out of her crease.  She and Olivia Hess '24 dominated the draw in the second half, combining for seven draw controls.
Zelle Jones '25 was an asset on all ends of the field, getting six ground balls, four assists, and two draw controls.  Her speed, athleticism, and game IQ was invaluable in the win.

Scoring was as follows:
