Johnsie Dawkins '28 leads the way with 6 goals for USN.
With a lot of new players seeing their first game experience on Monday, we were all excited, nervous, and very curious about how it would go! Johnsie Dawkins, veteran 8th grade player, led us on the draw and helped dictate our attacking play. New-to-lacrosse player Layla Omary stepped up to be our goalie and immediately made an impact by making saves, demonstrating good footwork, and making adjustments. Eesha Nachnani and Layla Jahangir anchored our defense with the help of new players Elinor Bird and CC Cook.
It was a back and forth game which made for an exciting finish! The Tigers scored the equalizing goal with less than 2 minutes to play and although we lost the last draw, the defense stepped up and got a stop to save the tie! The athleticism seen from Elizabeth Geiger and Mahalia Moore in the midfield was impressive!
Eesha Nachnani ’28 is studying how AI responds to cardiology scenarios and how to improve software. She has been selected as a U.S. Agency for International Development Science Champion for her presentation at the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair.
Convocation on Tuesday, May 14, in Durnan Auditorium, recognized Distinguished Alumnus Seth Feman '97 and welcomed the Class of 2024 into the PDS/USN Alumni Association.
