We're thrilled to announce that After School celebrates Black History Month in style again this year with a special event happening on Friday, February 23. Mark your calendars, because you won't want to miss this epic celebration. Here's a sneak peek at what's in store:
  • Performances by Baba Musa & Nature's Drums
  • Spoken word by some of our very own High School students
  • A step performance by a talented local group
  • An electrifying performance by members of the Tennessee State University drum line
The festivities kick off at 3:45 p.m. in Sperling Gym. Performances will wrap up at 4:30 pm.

We want to extend a warm invitation to all K-12 families to come and join us for this special event. Trust us, you won't want to miss the amazing performances line up. And the best part? We've got some delicious eats lined up for you too, courtesy of Bailey & Cato Restaurant. Food will be available following the performances, so come hungry.

Now, a quick heads up: due to the event, the 21st Avenue Garage won't be available for After School pick up until 4:30 p.m. on that day. But hey, why rush home when you can celebrate with us? Also, please keep in mind that there are no After School enrichment classes scheduled for this day.

We can't wait to see you all there for what promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Black History Month!
