Tigers Fall in Overtime to Hume Fogg

The Tigers went down early, rallied a comeback, and fell just short of the Blue Knights in overtime on Friday night.
Downtown Broadway, Nashville, TN- The University School of Nashville faced off against Hume-Fogg just off Broadway on Friday night. The Blue Knights started strong in the first quarter and our Tigers found themselves down 6 at half. USN found their fight midway through the third quarter thanks to the sharp-shooting of Senior, Kate Vaughn, and the crafty play of Freshman, Elisabeth Crane. The ending of regulation was a spectacle of heroics, ending with a full court pass from Junior, Uma Peters, to Elisabeth Crane who was fouled and tied the game to send it into overtime. Tessa Chomsky exhibited excellent defense against the opponent’s top player throughout the competition. The extra period began with a quick exchange of baskets, but the Tigers ultimately fell short by 4. USN will return to competition on Tuesday, November 21st, to host Davidson Academy.
