Tigers play a super close one with BGA

The Wildcats score on a free kick as the clock expired to win the game.
USN played SO well against a very talented BGA game.  We played a defensive formation and planned to try to keep them out of our goal as best we could.  With tremendous defending from our center backs, Alexandria Manoukian '28 and Johnsie Dawkins '28, and our center midfielders, Kenzie Burke '29 and Elizabeth Geiger '30 did well applying pressure, working together, and getting the ball OUT.

We kept BGA frustrated and at bay for nearly the entire game.  With less than 30 seconds to play, the score was 0-0, which would have been a great result for USN!  However, we got an unfortunate foul called just outside the penalty area and BGA's top player placed a beautiful shot in the upper corner of the goal to put them up 1-0 with no time remaining.

It felt disappointing, but the Tigers played great.  Lots to look forward to!
