Tigers fall to Harpeth Hall

Johnsie Dawkins '28 gets the Tigers' only goal of the night.
It was evident as soon as we arrived at the field that the wind would have a huge impact on the game.  We won the coin flip and had the wind at our backs for the first half.  We had several chances to score and we were taking advantage of the extra pace behind the ball.  With about 10 minutes to play in the first, Ruth Boehler '29 had an excellent cross that hit the keeper and Johnsie Dawkins '28 was there to get the rebound and finish the goal to put us up 1-0.  Despite HH being a threat, we kept them at bay and went into half time up 1-0.

The second half was all the Honeybears.  We struggled to battle their strength and that of the wind and rarely got the ball in our attacking half.  We did well defending and clearing.  Indigo Petraglia '29 had an excellent game at outside back, breaking up plays, making strong tackles, and clearing down the line.  Natalie Choe '28 showed her versatility and flexibility by dropping back to the center back position for majority of the game.

The Honeybears were able to get three goals in the second half with the wind at their backs.  We played them well and the conditions were tough!

We're on the right track!
