On the Up and Up

Such a great game! Despite it being Away, the Tigers were able to dig deep and make their own energy in the face of Oak Hill's Home court advantage. The Tigers lost the first set 23-25 in a close set, won the second set 25-20, and then won the final third set 16-14!
This game was a win by committee situation as each player found themselves making timely saves, serves, and plays to keep the team in the match: Notably Layla Omary came out hot with her serve and with her strong defense, Mahalia Moore and Avery Horst also anchored the defense with consistent effort and passing, and Jeannie Jansen and Anna Brook each earned kills with great spikes! The energy on and off the court also grew from set-to-set, which demonstrates this team's discipline and their willingness to support each other!

Despite dropping the first set, losing 23-25, the Tigers rallied back in the second set with better focus and effort. USN won the second set 25-20.

The Tigers found themselves in another third set situation. It required all their focus, stamina, and a willingness to fail. The Tigers fought hard and tried to win, rather than trying not to lose. That mentality rewarded them with an exciting win! Alyvia Thompson sealed the deal with two back-to-back aces, ending the match 16-14! The team collectively earned 26 aces in three sets!

As this team continues to face great teams, they continue to rise to the challenge. It's a team where growth happens everyday and that's super exciting for anyone involved with this team/program. Keep supporting them with your cheers and wish them good luck as they strive for awesomeness! Go Tigers!
